About Us

“Arts in the Cove” A Festival by the Sea (formerly known as “By The Sea” Arts and Seafood Festival) is a small nonprofit dedicated to helping local artisans while furthering our sense of community on Prince of Wales Island in SE Alaska. 

We hold the biggest and best Festival on Prince of Wales Island!  Arts in the Cove – A Festival by the Sea is a 2 day Festival held each year on the second weekend of August in Coffman Cove, AK on the northern end of Prince of Wales Island. We offer artisans from all over SE Alaska a venue to show their work and products. We also offer a fun filled day with a variety of food booths, entertainment, prizes, music and fireworks!

Arts in the Cove also sponsors the Annual 4th of July Celebration in Coffman Cove, AK – always held on the 4th with a Parade, Grease Pole contest, Lucky Duck race, Community Potluck, Cribbage Tournament, and of course Fireworks!

We also sponsor a Holiday Bazaar in December. One of the best on Prince of Wales island!
