Celebrate America's 250th Birthday with us!
Join us July 4th!
Join us in making this the most memorable 4th of July ever! Coffman Cove, located on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska, hosts a genuine down-home celebration.
Festivities Overview
– Flag Raising Ceremony: The day begins with a flag raising conducted by our veterans, followed by the national anthem.
– Parade: A delightful parade around town, where both kids and adults embrace the festive spirit.
– Grease Pole Contest: This exciting event takes place at the floatplane dock, accompanied by an all-American lunch featuring hotdogs and chips.
– Community Potluck Dinner: After a brief intermission, we gather for a community potluck at the pavilion.
– Evening Activities: The fun continues with a thrilling Lucky Duck race, a Cribbage tournament, horseshoes, and field games. Kids will enjoy the sawdust pile!
– Bonfire and Fireworks: As the sun sets, we gather around a bonfire, eagerly awaiting the grand finale of fireworks!
How You Can Help
We are seeking funds to cover:
– Fireworks
– Lunch during the grease pole contest
– The main course for the potluck dinner
– Decorations and serving items
Additionally, we are in need of Sponsors and prizes for our cribbage contest, Lucky Duck winner, and more!
Your generous donations are greatly appreciated!
Donate over $100 in monetary funds or in-kind donations and receive credit on our website, your name on posters at the ballfield and a shout out at the awards ceremony!
