Coffman Cove Community Center
Through collaboration with the City of Coffman Cove, Arts in the Cove established the Coffman Cove Community Center at the Harbor View Hall Ferry Terminal. We strive to promote the happiness and common good amongst our community members. Through a combination of grants, donations, and volunteer initiatives, our organization focuses on improving local livelihoods by empowering and engaging them through community service projects, cultural programs, community events, educational opportunities, and physical and mental well-being.
We hope to expand our opportunities with the help of the community. We want the Ferry Terminal to be an inviting meeting place for trainings, educational opportunities or group meetings. We hope to gain an understanding of what types of classes or events are needed and wanted. We hope to find additional instructors within the community to offer a variety of classes and educational opportunities.
We are looking for new and fun learning opportunities to share with our community. Please contact us if you would like to host or teach an event.

Cove Kids
On behalf of Arts in the Cove, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Prince of Wales Health Network for their invaluable support in making our Children and Families Opioid and Substance Prevention initiative possible in 2025. This program was thoughtfully designed to provide healthy, safe, and engaging alternatives for youth and families in our rural community. By fostering connection, offering enriching experiences, and incorporating therapeutic arts, we are creating opportunities for kids to grow, play, and feel seen.
Our first Cove Kids was especially meaningful. It gave us the chance to hear directly from the children about their interests and ideas. Their input helped shape a tailored list of resources — from outdoor recreation gear to art supplies — sparking joy and offering much-needed outlets for creativity, movement, and connection.
With these insights, we’ve invested in: Yard games and sports equipment, arts and crafts materials, board games, cards, and dice, and supplies for cozy family movie nights on rainy days.
These tools are more than just entertainment — they’re building blocks for learning, laughter, and community. We’re truly excited to bring children and families together in a space where they feel safe, supported, and free to simply be kids. So please be on the lookout for monthly planned activities as well as impromptu events with possible little to no notice as weather pends.
